My Horse

Today I wanted to talk about my horse, Cassie. She has been in my life for almost sixteen years. Cassie is the first horse I ever owned and even after all this time, I still look for any excuse to talk about her… So I’m going to. Before I get into it. I’ll give you some information on her breeding etc. Cassie is a 17.2hh, Clydesdale x Thoroughbred. A mix between my two favourite breeds. A true jumper who’s full of energy, power and willingness. If you’re wondering what the 17.2hh is – That’s how we measure horses. In “Hands”…

My Weekly Picture Roundup – 04/15/18

Hello lovelies, it’s time for another weekly picture roundup. I honestly didn’t take many pictures this week. It’s been a busy week. I’m glad it’s finally over and I can have somewhat of a chill out session tomorrow. I’ve decided to take the day off from anything I need to do, and have a little nap when the baby naps. Let’s see if that actually happens haha. I hope everyone has had a good week πŸ™‚ Here are my pictures… Beautiful Lady I took this yesterday and I really like it. I’ve had this horse for 16 years in August…

Discovering ASMR

A couple of weeks ago I was sat in the quiet waiting room of my son’s Speech Therapy class, waiting for him to finish his session, when another mum sat down and started to read her book. As she was reading, she was gently whispering the words to herself. Between the sound of her whispering and the pages of her book turning, I noticed how relaxed and sleepy it made me feel. I also felt a prickly sensation at the back of my head. The kind of feeling you get when you have goosebumps. It’s not the first time that…

Learning to Love My Body No Matter What Size I Am

I’ve always struggled with weight problems. My metabolism is all over the place and has been for quite some time now. One minute I’m in shape and looking good and the next I’m reaching for my super stretchy pants and having emotional breakdowns in my bathroom mirror. We’ve all done it; standing in our underwear, grabbing our belly fat and wiggling our arms. It’s called being a woman. Throughout my twenties, my clothes size and self esteem has yo yo’d so much. Even if other people thought that I looked good, I couldn’t accept it. I hated the way I…

My Weekly Picture Roundup – Birthday Week Edition

It’s time for my weekly picture roundup. I’ve been doing it every Sunday but yesterday was my Birthday so I took the day off from everything. I honestly didn’t take that many pictures this week, and most of the ones I took were on my Birthday, but here they are anyway. I hope everyone has a great week. Sad IzzyΒ  Izzy came home from school with a sore throat and a slight temperature, the other day. The day after, she was in lots of pain and couldn’t eat, drink or talk. After a visit to the doctors, she was prescribed…

Quick Q&A with My Daughter, Izzy

I thought it would be a nice idea to include Izzy (my 7 year old) in a blog. She often sits and watches me while I blog, then pretends to write her own *cuteeee*. I’m going to do a quick Q&A with her in the hopes it will cheer her up a little. She’s got Tonsillitis and is suffering pretty badly today. Poor baby. Anyway, here is a quick Q&A with Izzy. Full name:Β  Isabelle Grace Morales Favourite colour: every color except grey Favourite animal: bunny, horse, turtle, fish Favourite holiday: christmas Favourite food: tacos, with cheese, meat, sour cream…

Waving Goodbye to My Twenties

In a few days, I turn thirty years old. Like what the hell? My twenties are OVER! That’s it, I’m never getting them back. There’s no turning back time, there’s no do-over, that is it. For the past few months I’ve been dreading it. It’s sad, my twenties are over and I’m aging. I look older, I feel older and I’m just not ready for it. But today it hit me. Maybe turning 30 isn’t such a bad thing. Here’s why. In my twenties, I wasn’t my best. I got pregnant young (I definitely don’t regret my kids though), I’ve…
