12 Resolutions for the New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I did a slight edit on my resolutions, so enjoy πŸ™‚ This week I’m going to be writing my monthly goals so I’m looking forward to sharing those with you! Anyway here are my New Years Resolutions!

1 – Focus on myself

I’m not trying to be selfish, of course I’m going to focus on everyone else too but you can’t make people happy unless you’re happy with yourself and right now I feel like I need get back to a more relaxed and happy Laura. I’m going to say yes to more things this year and really soak life up! I want to really apply myself to life and become a more well rounded person. I’m excited.

2 – Get in the best shape ever

I know, I know,Β  nearly everyone says this but the difference is, I’m going to do it! I’ve been telling myself I’d get in shape for years. I PROMISED myself that by the time I’m 30, I’d be healthy and confident. Did I do it? Well, I’m 30 in April 2018 so I don’t have much time left. In 2018 I’m going to kick my own ass into shape so I’m happy and confident. I wanna Khloe Kardashian – Revenge Body this thing! Looking good makes you feel good and I am going to get there!

3 – Work hard

You don’t get where you want to be without working hard. 2017 I’ve been a stay at home mum and well, focused on the kids and nothing else. This year I’m going to apply all that I’ve got into doing what I want to do and I’m going to make things happen. You’ll see! Over the next few months I’m going to write my plans down on my blog so I have no choice but to work on them.

4 – Be kind, honest and good to others

It’s self explainatory. I don’t want to let anyone down this this year. Not only this but I am going to put other people’s feelings before my own. I’m not going to be selfish, I’m not going to hurt people, I’m not going to be dishonest, disloyal or disrespectful to anyone!

5 – Be less of a flake

I’m a bit of a flake. I say I’ll do something and then I don’t. I’ve been pretty unreliable this last year and having kids isn’t an excuse. If I say I’m going to do something, from now on I’m going to do it. End of.

6 – Ride more

I have a horse, I hardly ever ride. I’m going to make time to ride her more and once I get in shape, I’d love to find a younger horse (not to buy) and start jumping again because I’m pretty good at it and I love it. It’s been a while but I’m going to do it!

7 – Swear less

I use such bad language! Especially when I’m angry. I swear A LOT!!! And it’s bad because sometimes my kids hear it and although they don’t repeat those words, it’s not good for them to hear that. It’s also not nice for other people to hear either. I’m going to try my best to chill out on the bad language. I really should stick to this!

8 – More acts of kindness

Okay so when I see a homeless person, I always give them money, even if it’s my last dollar but I could be doing more. I wanted to go feed the homeless on Christmas, but I didn’t. I see a homeless person sleeping out on Kissimmee Lakefront every morning and always think to myself that I’ll buy them a coffee from Starbucks and give them some money but I never do… There’s literally no excuse not to so this year I’m going to be kind to everyone I see. I’m going to give back, donate, volunteer or just do something nice for someone every day. I can’t imagine how hard it is living out on the streets. Just a simple act of kindness could mean the world to someone else.

9 – Blog more

I’m fairly new to this blogging world but I’m starting to really love it. I’m also enjoying engaging with other bloggers and reading what everyone has to say. This is definitely something I’m going to stick at!

10 – Relocate

People say you make your own happiness and you should learn to be happy wherever you are. As much as I try to agree with that, that’s not the kind of person I am. I’ve been in Kissimmee for ten years now and I don’t like it. It doesn’t make me happy. Trust me, I’ve given it enough chances. I’m ready to move on and not live here. Even if it’s just in the next town, I’m going!!!

11 – Ignore my phone when I’m driving

I’m going to be honest, I text and drive. I try not to but if I think the text is important, I text back. I also take phone calls and really it isn’t fair on other people. I’m putting other people at risk, not just myself. This year I’m going to kill this habit that has been formed over years and years of living in Florida where it’s not so illegal! Phone is going in my bag while I drive!

12 – Cut dairy out

I’d love to go on a plant based diet again. It’s healthier plus I’m not contributing to harming animals. I’ve put on shit loads of weight since I started back on the dairy. I mean, it’s not just that. I eat like crazy but I want to go dairy-free again! It’s actually super easy!

I hope everyone has an amazing year!! Stay happy & look after each other xxx
