What’s in My January Ipsy Glam Bag?

Oh my gosh it’s cold here today in Florida!

I first signed up for Ipsy just over a year ago but I stopped, when I started feeling guilty for spending money on myself every month. Then last month I figured, eh, it’s $10 per month, I think I’m allowed to treat myself to something, so I signed back up and I’m glad, because every month I have something to look forward to in the post!

What is Ipsy?

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription for just $10 – Each month, Ipsy sends you a super cute makeup bag with 5 beauty items in it. They are usually just small samples but I have had products last me months, and a lot of my makeup kit actually came from Ipsy.

What I love about it is, when you subscribe, the website will ask you what your hair colour is, what skin tone you have, what eyeshadow colours you pefer, what lip colours you prefer. It even asks you what type of skin you have. For example: I put that I have quite oily skin. They also ask your hair condition! Then, from a list of all the types of beauty products such as makeup brushes, lipsticks, eyeshadows, skin care, hair care, nail colours etc, you can choose which ones you would prefer to receive, and there is no limit on how many you pick! The website asks you how confident you are with makeup. By getting to know more about you, they can send you products you actually will use!

Makeup Brands

For people like me who only use Cruelty-free makeup products, the great thing about Ipsy is you have the power to let them know that. From a list of cosmetics companies, they let you choose as many as you life as a preference. Then you let them do the job.

What if you LOVE the product and want more? You can go on the Ipsy website and see where to purchase that product!

My favourite thing about my Glam Bag, is THE GLAM BAG!! Each and every makeup bag they send is really cute and great quality. I save all of them and they are perfect for when traveling!

So what is in my January Glam Bag?

I have not yet used this product but I’m excited to. Especially today, I feel like my skin could do with a boost!

Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner by CIATÉ LONDON

I’ve not tried this either, but I’m happy I got this because I’ve just ran out of eyeliner! I’m a litte nervous to use it because I’ve been using creme eyeliner for months so I’ll have to practice that steady hand!

Sheet Mask Duo: Aloe Rescue & Pomegranate Crush Sheet Masks by BIOREPUBLIC SKINCARE

I have never used sheet masks before, like ever. I’m not very good with the skin care, I’m quite lazy with it so I’m happy I got these, I’m going to use them and see if they work. These masks are 100% biodegradable and cruelty-free. The Aloe Rescue claims to have has phytocollagen, aloe vera extract, and Vitamin E to soothe and moisturize dry skin which I don’t particulally need because my skin isn’t dry, but I’ll try it anyway! Pomegranate Crush is apparently loaded with antioxidants and vitamin E to hydrate, brighten, and smooth *all* skin types.

Eyeshadow in “Bikini” by DIRTY LITTLE SECRET COSMETICS

I’ve never tried this makeup company before. I like that they sent me a colour that I like to use, so I’ll probably use it real soon. I have so many new eyeshadows to try so this isn’t at the top of my list but I’ll definitely try it. I know Ipsy are usually good at sending me really good eyeshadows.

Professional Contour Eyeshadow Brush by VASANTI COSMETICS

Okay this is my FAVOURITE eyeshadow brush ever. They sent me this last year before I cancelled my subscription. I’ve never had the same product twice until now and I’m so glad of it because this brush is major! It is durable, it lasts so long and if you want to really blend that eyeshadow into your crease, this is the brush for you. I love it.
It’s the ‘ Contour Eyeshadow 4’ brush.

So that’s it. Until next month. If you want to check Ipsy out, you can head over to their website HERE – It’s just $10 per month, charged on the 1st of each month. It’s so worth it. The products they send are always in top condition!!! If you ever want to cancel a subscription, you can easily with the click of a button!

Thank you for reading.
