My February Goals

Bye January! We finally made it to the end of the month. As we roll into another one, I’m going to write a new list of goals. As I wrote in my blog Why My 2018 Hasn’t Got Off to the Best Start a few days ago, I did not reach all of my January goals but I will work on those separately instead of adding to a list and making it unrealistically long. I hope everyone had a good start to the year. Mine has been a tiny bit rocky but it’s getting there. I’m still feeling positive about 2018. It’s time to start making things happen. I was rather lazy in January. I was focusing more on my mental wellbeing and also focusing on the kids, but now it’s time to kick 2018 off properly!

So here are my February goals

  1. Lose 10lbs
  2. Enroll in college
  3. Look after my hair
  4. Do something for myself
  5. Stick to a blog schedule / Plan
  6. Drive less miles

Lose 10lbs

I’m ready to put the effort in to this new fitness journey I’m going to go on. The time is now. Although I’m not going to obsess with my weight, I’d like to lose 10lbs. That would boost my confidence a little.

Enroll in college

I decided to stop making excuses for why I shouldn’t go after the career I want to. As much as I love Cosmetology, my true love is Photography. I’ve found a college course that works well with my schedule and is affordable, so I’m going for it. This is the month!!! I’m excited.

Look after my hair

At the beginning of January, I dyed my hair brown. Then last night I decided to go back blonde. My hair needs a break. I feel like I’m one dye away from losing my hair. It’s begging me to stop, so I’m going to, for a while and I’m going to do all that I can to revive it. If you can recommend any cruelty-free / vegan hair products that help with damaged hair, then please drop me a comment.

Do something for myself

The other night I went out for the first time in about a year and it felt SO good to just feel like a normal human again, even if it was only for a few hours. As much as I’d prefer to be home with the kids all the time, sometimes you need to allow time for yourself in order to feel sane, so I’m going to do something for myself once a month. Even if I can’t find the time to go out, maybe I’ll purchase some new makeup or new clothes 🙂

Stick to a blog schedule / plan

This was a past goal but I feel like I need to write this one again because I have not stuck to a schedule or planned ahead of time. In February, this will all stop. Today, I ordered myself a new laptop which should arrive by the end of next week, so I’m excited for that. I think that will motivate me to blog more too. Recently I’ve been writing off my phone and it just isn’t the same.

Drive less

You wouldn’t believe how much I drive per week. I’m doing at least 400 miles and that’s NOT for work. That’s school runs, Speech Therapy runs and trips to the farm. Although some of these cannot be avoided, I’m going to try to cut down on how many miles I drive each week. Florida has the worst traffic and I’m forever sitting around in it trying to get from A to B. I hate driving!!! If I can avoid driving so much, I think I’d be so much less stressed and I know my baby would too.
